Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Assisting/performing troubleshooting of plant equipment
- Preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper functioning
- Daily maintenance, construction, demolition, overhauls, repair /replacement and removal/installation of plant equipment and structures
- Provides skills for maintaining equipment at the plant
- Clearances in LOTOV under the direction of a senior operator or supervisor
- Utilizes/operates various types of hand, power, precision or machine tools necessary to support safe and productive work environments
- Maintains a working knowledge of all electronic control systems and computers
- Understands and follows current safety and environmental regulations necessary to conduct all phases of work
- Ensures strict adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures as they relate to plant operations and maintenance including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety and PPE
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
- 2 - 4 years of related experience
- Satisfactory completion of Tier 1 job performance measures composed of basic: Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument and Controls
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- If applicable, candidate will hold the required level of state license as recognized by the governing body of that particular state (MA, OH)
- Demonstrate standard computer based skills
- Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills
- If applicable, candidate must meet the requirement of PT1-E Must pass POSS/MASS exam to be considered.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to frequently climb ladders
- Enter confined spaces
- Climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders and walkways at elevations of 75 feet and more
- Crawl to and through confined space areas
- Lift objects up to 50 pounds
- This job requires the ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, climb vertical access ladders and stairwells
- Must be able to wear a respirator and use other safety equipment as required
Key Metrics
- Progression of skill within primary skill set
- Satisfactory completion of Tier 2 job performance measures predominately composed of Sign-offs of demonstrating different primary and auxiliary system operations and maintenance relevant to primary skill
- Demonstrate continual self improvement in job skills and knowledge
