POWER PLANT TECHNICIAN

About the role

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the building and equipment essential to the operation of the hospital with a primary focus on all physical plant equipment. Position is on-site at Froedtert West Bend Hospital in West Bend, WI.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of plant operations/powerhouse and maintenance experience in a similar environment.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Training

• Technical training in power plant operation required.
• Technical training in refrigeration or basic electricity preferred.

Special skills

• Leadership qualities.
• Training experience.

Licensure

• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license required.
• 3rd Class Operator’s Engineering License required within 18 months of hire.
• Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate required within 18 months of hire.

Schedule

• Full-time (1.0 FTE), 80 standard hours.
• 1st shift with some overtime.
• Occasional holidays and every 6th weekend.
