Type: Contract, 40 hours per week

About The Role
CEIS is hiring Electrical and I&C Design Engineers to support capital modification projects at a major nuclear generating station in Arizona. This is hands-on modification work — not desk-only design. You'll be in the plant, walking down your mods, tracking installation progress, and working directly with construction and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support electrical and I&C design changes for capital modification projects
- Perform plant walkdowns to verify field conditions and monitor mod installation
- Interface with construction, operations, and engineering teams throughout the design change lifecycle
- Work within nuclear design and regulatory processes
Requirements
- 5–10 years of engineering experience (mid-career; senior-level 8+ years is a plus)
- Background in one of the following, in order of preference:
- Power plant engineering experience
- Industrial plant or large facility engineering experience
- Comfort working in an active plant environment — field walkdowns, containment entries, ladders, and Arizona summer conditions
- Strong written and verbal communication
Why This Role
- Long-term pipeline: significant new electrical and I&C project work is funded beginning 2027
- Arizona-based candidates strongly preferred
