Key Responsibilities
- Have a focus on client management and development, serving as a client manager for proactive capture of future assignments and pursuits with key clients in the market
- Identify and develop project opportunities, serve as a pursuit champion, and act as a resource for pursuits
- Develop annual Power Market Sector sales and growth goals for Spheros and develop and implement Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for meeting/exceeding annual goals
- Identify and win opportunities in the Power Sector by working with Business Unit, Divisional and Regional Leadership, Practice Area Leads, and Key Client Program Leads
- Develop opportunities for all Spheros practices in the sector
- Lead business planning for the sector across all Spheros practice areas and execute the plan
- Firmly establish Spheros’ reputation and position in the Energy Sector
- Identify trends in client demand within the sector, and develop a near, mid, and long-term view for each client and sector
- Partner with marketing on market specific materials and key branding opportunities within the sector
- Connect and work with Practice Area Leads/technical experts to capture identified business opportunities
- Avoids ensure high levels of client satisfaction for the sector
- Oversee major proposals for the sector
- Establish multi-year contracts within the sector, as appropriate
- Represent Spheros at Power-related conferences and other professional events
- Support Spheros’ overall strategic planning and execution of that planning
- Help identify key talent or acquisitions for growth and execution of Energy projects
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on the Power sector
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of client needs, market trends, regulations, and competitors in the Power sector
- Strong understanding of environmental science, engineering principles, and contracting mechanisms
- Demonstrated success in business development and client management
- Experienced in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning, environmental and/or engineering services
- Experienced in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits
- Experienced in overall staff development to include recruiting, career path and professional growth
- Ability to work cooperatively with Market Sector Leaders, Division Leaders, Practice Area Leaders, Regional Department Leaders, and Marketing Director
- Preferred: Familiarity with Spheros’ service offerings and technical capabilities (or willingness to gain knowledge quickly upon hire)
