Area Power Market Sector Leader

About the role

The Power Market Sector Leader will oversee and direct the growth of HDR’s Power program in the Missouri/Kansas area. They will be responsible for leading and managing the operations, ensuring that the program meets its operational and growth expectations.

Responsibilities

• Grow, monitor, and execute HDR’s portfolio of Power services in the area.
• Partner with business development leaders to position ahead of market trends and implement strategies to diversify work and grow client relationships.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to deliver a variety of services including consulting, advisory services, owners engineering, asset management, due diligence, and planning.
• Assist clients with the formulation, assessment, and implementation of energy systems and portfolios ranging from microgrid scale to large scale utility systems.
• Establish effective external teaming relationships to support program growth, including developing relationships with industry counterparts and representing HDR in industry associations and as a role model in business and community organizations.
• Provide leadership and project management support to ensure projects have appropriate staff and that work is executed in a quality manner.
• Serve as a Principal-in-Charge on select projects.
• Cook up with local operations, section managers, and business group leadership to support work sharing efforts.
• Lead and motivate the staff to meet growth goals.

Requirements

• PE license
• PMP Certification
• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning or a related field
• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience
• Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services
• Experience in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits
• Experience in overall staff development to include recruiting, career path and professional growth
• Experience with industry associations and maintaining a visible profile in the market sector
• Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and an attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
