Power & HVAC Road Technician 1

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Pump and Power Road Technician 1 to perform basic diagnostics and equipment repairs with an emphasis on returning equipment to service quickly to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on Pump & Power equipment in the safest and most effective way possible
• Read electric schematics and hydraulic flow drawings
• Work with refrigeration systems (EPA Certified), electrical engines, controllers, dehumidification equipment, generators, power distribution, A/C, heaters, shoring, diesel equipment, air compressors, and compressed air treatment systems

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining Pump & Power equipment
• DOT Physical Examination (Medical card)
• EPA section 608 universal Certification
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Skills

• Understanding of basic refrigeration (EPA Certified), electrical engines, and controllers
• Familiarity with dehumidification equipment from CDI and Munters
• Knowledge of generators, power distribution, A/C, heaters, shoring, diesel equipment, generators, and air compressors
• Understanding of compressed air treatment (dryers/filters/aftercooler)

Physical demands

• Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching
• Lifting 25 pounds or more
• Working indoors and outdoors as required by the job

Pay

Base pay range: $24.05 - $34.56 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on location, education, training, and experience.
