Responsibilities
- Collaborates with operators and other technicians to provide support, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
- Prioritizes workload effectively to avoid equipment failure and avoid unplanned downtime
- Utilizes CAT ET and other diagnostic software for advanced troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems
- Utilizes wiring schematics and technical manuals and guides to repair, maintain, and calibrate instrumentation and other control hardware
- Documents work performed, diagnostic steps taken, and parts used in the company’s Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Maintains safety by using stop work authority when necessary
- Performs general housekeeping and routine maintenance of Company property, including but not limited to service vehicle and trailer
- Maintains compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
- Experience with CAT G3520 engine packages preferred
- Experience with Solar SMT60 turbine packages preferred
- Proficient user of CAT ET and other diagnostic software
- Fundamental understanding of natural gas reciprocating and turbine engines
- Fundamental understanding of control systems and instrumentation
- Fundamental understanding of power generators and electricity
- Fundamental understanding of network protocols and communication devices
- Maintaining a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, required
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, can interact in a professional manner with clients, team, and personnel at all levels of the organization
- Personable, can maintain good rapport with organizational leadership, clients, and team
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications and able to quickly learn other work-related software
- Physically able to sit or stand for long periods, work indoors and outdoors, and withstand extreme weather conditions
- Physically able to safely operate a company vehicle day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions
