Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
- Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
- Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
- Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
- Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
- Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches
Requirements
- Years of previous experience as a technician
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Occasional driving
Qualifications
- Physical demands: prolonged periods of standing and/or walking, frequent use of hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, stretching, twisting, heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, working in noisy areas with odors, and working in temperature and humidity extremes
