Power Generation Field Service Technician- Premium Level

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
  • Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
  • Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
  • Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
  • Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
  • Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
  • Occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or more)
  • Frequent use of hands to manipulate and grasp objects
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, or twist to perform repairs and inspections
  • Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential
  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
  • Work in areas with temperature and/or humidity extremes
