Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
- Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
- Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
- Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
- Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
- Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches
Requirements
- Years of previous experience as a technician
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Physical requirements: prolonged periods of standing and/or walking, occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or more)
- Good vision and effective communication
- Ability to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
- Ability to work in areas with temperature and/or humidity extremes
