Power Generation Field Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic

Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
- Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
- Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
- Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
- Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
- Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in power generation field service or diesel mechanics preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of diesel engines and generator sets
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Pay
- $30-$45 per hour
