Power Equipment Department Head

Essential Functions

• Aid customers with special order requests and enhance their understanding of products.
• Show a positive and welcoming demeanor at all times, greeting customers within ten feet.
• Verify proper product rotation and maintain adequate stock levels across various departments.
• Learn and retain information from Farm & Home Supply’s web-based employee site, The Outfitter.
• Remove damaged merchandise and adjust out-of-stock items to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Follow department merchandising guidelines and assist in setting store advertisements and signage.
• Identify and display new items at approved locations with Management oversight.
• Demonstrate strong merchandising skills, including the ability to locate products efficiently for customers.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Attend job-related meetings and review the F&H Weekly Update.
• Communicate professionally with customers, management, and other store employees.
• Comply with all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Assist with price changes, markdowns, and merchandise labeling.
• Operate cash registers and assist customers with carryout purchases.
• Work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Lift and carry up to 80 lbs as necessary.
• Maintain an organized stockroom area.

Additional Responsibilities

• Complete special projects as directed by management.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management to meet the business's needs.

Minimum Requirements

• Age requirement: 18 years old.
• Previous retail experience: Six months preferred but not required.
• Personality traits: Positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
