About the Role

This is a permanent, fully onsite position based in Milwaukee, WI.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop next-generation power electronics for solar, energy storage, EV charging, and test applications using SiC and GaN MOSFETs.
  • Develop high-frequency bidirectional DC-DC converters, AC-DC grid-tie inverters, and resonant converters.
  • Lead product development from initial concept through detailed design, validation, and productization.
  • Create and implement innovative digital control algorithms for power converter systems.
  • Design and develop advanced magnetics, including high-frequency inductors and transformers.
  • Collaborate closely with PCB layout designers to implement high-density, high-voltage power designs.
  • Work closely with mechanical designers on product design elements such as sheet metal, heatsinks, bus bars, and overall packaging.
  • Ensure products achieve UL and CE compliance by leading design activities aligned with relevant standards.
  • Lead EMC compliance activities, including filter design, testing, and resolution of EMC issues.
  • Apply strong understanding of high-frequency power stages, filtering, circuit protection, thermal management, and EMI/EMC considerations to all designs.
  • Use Matlab, Simulink, and SimPower Systems to model, simulate, and optimize power converter performance.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $160,000 per year.
