Scope
The Power Electronics Engineer will develop products such as motor drives, switch mode power supplies, power factor correction units, etc.
Responsibilities
- Design high-power motor controllers, power regulators, high efficiency AC-DC power converters, DC-DC converters, synchronous rectifiers and battery management solutions.
- Support new product introduction to manufacturing and through product lifecycle.
- Design PCBs for motor control hardware utilizing techniques to prevent EMC and EMI.
- Designing and selecting hardware for high temperature environments.
- Capture designs utilizing DxDesigner, Allegro for design and schematic capture.
- Create PCB layout, to control of heat and transients.
- Develop robust testing / validation / documentation methodology for design verification.
- Supervise and support junior engineers.
Requirements
- US citizenship or permanent residency is required.
- A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or equivalent professional experience is required. A degree in Electrical Engineering or related focus is preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience working in power electronics engineering is required.
- Experience in manufacturing of similar structural products and/or components (e.g., aerospace, military/defense, automotive, etc.) is required.
- Advanced knowledge of electric drives and electrical circuits (Altium Preferred).
- Familiarity with various networking protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, Controller Area Network (CAN), Bluetooth.
- Experience with integration of military systems/standards is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work well within a team.
- Must be able to speak/read/write English.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Skills

Pay
