About the role
This position interacts and receives training from the Pouring Manager/Technical Director in all aspects of polyurethane slab stock production. The plant environment includes exposure to chemicals, heat, and machinery. The Pouring Engineer will supervise and relay instruction to the pouring crew, assist with direct supervision of hourly production personnel, and maintain daily communication with department management, production personnel, scheduling, quality, and plant management.
Major challenges include the efficient usage of materials, machines, and manpower to produce a quality product.
Responsibilities
- Develops understanding of pouring line technology (e.g., machinery, PLC, and formulations)
- Participates in pour line projects
- Assists and interacts with RTC Technical Support Group
- Follows company standard operating procedures
Requirements
- BS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering
- Six months to one year of experience
Schedule
1st Shift: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (Overtime as needed to complete work for the day)
