Poultry Vaccination Technician

Job Description Summary We are seeking an outstanding individual who will be responsible for vaccinations, bird moves, male selection, grading, cleaning, and disinfecting all equipment involved to ensure bio-security. All duties should be performed with safety, bio-security, and animal welfare being top priorities. This role plays a critical part in overall success of the farm operations within the vaccination crew. This crew has primary responsibilities for the animal care and welfare of the birds. Job Description Work with day old chicksWill be required to collect birds for moving, weighing, and vaccinationsMust be able to work with live animals and the associated environment (poultry houses)Collect blood samples, band/tag or remove tags from birdsMust follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio-Security policies and proceduresAbility to work with chemicals such as detergents, disinfects, etc.Must perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner as trainedMust be able to be around farm related smells or odors and loud/noisy environmentMay occasionally work up to 6 days a week, including some holidays, & weekends.
