Poultry Vaccination Lead

About the role

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and attributes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Experience in vaccinations and pullet moves
• Good organizer with the ability to work and communicate well with others
• Ability to prepare work schedules and adjust to sudden changes in organizing work loads
• Capable of working flexible hours
• Background check required as stated in the Aviagen Employee Handbook

Responsibilities

The following duties will vary according to the needs of the Department. Primary responsibilities include:

• Work flexible hours and be on call 24 hours/7 days a week
• Ensure that all vaccination and move procedures are performed correctly by crew
• Manage a crew with high efficiency and high quality standards
• Properly handle vaccine in transport as well as in the chicken houses
• Ensure biosecurity of farms, equipment, area buildings, vehicles, etc.
• Complete schedules and service reports
• Repair vaccination equipment, injection guns, water-vac pumps, etc.
• Perform blood monitoring and rodent inspections involving baiting and checking traps
• Oversee health and safety of employees
