Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience in vaccinations and pullet moves
- Good organizer with the ability to work and communicate well with others
- Ability to prepare work schedules and adjust to sudden changes in organizing work loads
- Capable of working flexible hours
- Background check required as stated in the Aviagen Employee Handbook
Responsibilities
The following duties will vary according to the needs of the Department. Primary responsibilities include:
- Work flexible hours and be on call 24 hours/7 days a week
- Ensure that all vaccination and move procedures are performed correctly by crew
- Manage a crew with high efficiency and high quality standards
- Properly handle vaccine in transport as well as in the chicken houses
- Ensure biosecurity of farms, equipment, area buildings, vehicles, etc.
- Complete schedules and service reports
- Repair vaccination equipment, injection guns, water-vac pumps, etc.
- Perform blood monitoring and rodent inspections involving baiting and checking traps
- Oversee health and safety of employees
