Postdoctoral Scholars - Open Ranks 2026-27

About the role

The Department of Chemistry anticipates openings for Postdoctoral Scholars throughout the 2026-27 Academic Year. Applications are being sought from recent Ph.D. graduates with backgrounds in various areas of Chemistry or a related field (degree date of 2022 or later).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to cutting-edge research projects under the supervision of Principal Investigators.
• Participate in laboratory experiments and data analysis.
• Write and publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
• Present research findings at scientific conferences and seminars.

Qualifications

• Recent Ph.D. graduates with backgrounds in various areas of Chemistry or a related field (degree date of 2022 or later).
• Inorganic or Organometallic Chemistry
• Organic Chemistry or Chemical Biology
• Physical, Atmospheric, or Analytical Chemistry
• Polymer, Materials, or Nanoscience Chemistry
• Theoretical Chemistry

Benefits

Salary will be based on University of California guidelines for the Postdoctoral Scholars and is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Initial appointments are for two-years and renewal will be dependent on availability of support.
