Postdoctoral Scholar - Vazquez Lab
About the role
A postdoctoral position is available in the Biology Department at The Pennsylvania State University to study the evolution of metabolism, hypoxia, and aging in bats under the supervision of Dr. Juan Manuel Vazquez. The Vazquez Lab studies the evolution of aging-related traits across mammals and the gene regulatory networks that govern them.
Requirements
- A Ph.D is required, with a Ph.D in Comparative Physiology, Cell Biology, or Ecology and Evolution ideal.
- Prior bat handling experience is required.
- Experience with comparative physiology, molecular biology, and metabolism is a plus.
