Postdoctoral Scholar - Conklin Lab
About the role
The Conklin lab at the Gladstone Institutes is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to focus on therapeutic gene editing in motor neuron diseases. Projects involve extensive use of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived tissues for disease modeling, as well as potential animal models. Funding comes from the NIH, disease groups, and the Innovative Genomics Institute (IGI).
Available projects
Projects employ novel genome engineering methods and offer significant publication opportunities. Collaboration includes Jennifer Doudna and multiple Gladstone and UCSF labs.
Requirements
- A strong background in molecular biology and cell culture
Qualifications
Experience with CRISPR and iPSCs is preferred.
