About the role
The Dulla Lab in the Department of Neuroscience is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to study Scn8a-related epilepsies. The lab focuses on synaptic and glia biology, using mouse models to investigate neurological disease and epilepsy. The position is part of an NIH/NINDS R01-funded collaborative project with Tufts University and MIT.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments using electrophysiology, live imaging (2-photon/confocal), mouse behavior, EEG/ECoG, molecular biology, and genetics
- Develop and test ASO-based splicing therapies and other potential treatments
- Analyze data, prepare figures, and contribute to manuscripts and grant applications
- Manage mouse colonies and perform general lab duties
- Mentor junior trainees and participate in team science collaborations
- Pursue independent career development, including fellowship and K-award applications
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Doctorate in neuroscience or a related field
- Experience in scientific research, data analysis, and scientific communication
- Comfort in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mouse models, electrophysiology, imaging, confocal microscopy, RNA biology
- Background in epilepsy, ion channels, neurogenetics
- Strong quantitative skills and enthusiasm for mentoring and team science

- Salary is $65,000/year (based on experience and internal equity)
