Postdoctoral Scholar - Colby Group - Materials Science and Engineering

Position Specifics

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking a postdoctoral scholar. This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain two Novocontrol dielectric spectrometers
• Train new users and supervise both graduate and undergraduate students in properly loading their samples, running the experiments, and interpreting the data
• Conduct research with a particular emphasis on zwitterions mixed with polymers

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, or a related field
