Postdoctoral Researcher - Dr. Jianfu Chen's Lab

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate to join our NIH-funded laboratory at the Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology, University of Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all laboratory activities to enhance and develop research competencies
• Contribute to planning, designing, and conducting highly technical and complex research projects under the direction of Dr. Chen
• Analyze research data, provide interpretations, contribute to the development of research documentation for publication, and prepare technical reports, papers, and records

Requirements

• A copy of the doctoral diploma or other certification indicating satisfactory completion of the terminal degree is required.
• If the doctoral candidate has not yet obtained a degree, they should provide evidence that a thesis has been approved, along with a documented indication of the expected date of formal graduation.
• The responsibility of the faculty mentor to verify this documentation.

Qualifications

• Publications in peer-reviewed journals in the same or related field.

Skills

• Directly related education in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures and analysis methods.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $68,640.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
