Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct experimental research, perform data analyses, and prepare reports and/or manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications.
  • Attend and present findings at relevant conferences and research dissemination events.
  • Generate and contribute innovative ideas for new research proposals and directions.
  • Develop an Individual Development Plan (IDP) with a faculty mentor.
  • Help secure external funding and participate in professional development (e.g., grant-writing workshops).
  • Prepare and manage project budgets in alignment with funding guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Actively engage in research, writing, and publication.

Requirements

  • Educational Requirements: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., D.V.M., Sc.D., M.D., PharmD, etc.) from an accredited institution, OR Doctorate must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Abilities: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Eligible to work in the U.S. at the start of appointment and throughout its duration. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proven ability to conduct independent and collaborative research. Creative, proactive problem-solving approach. Experience with analytical method development and good analytical practices. Awareness of developments and trends in the research field.
  • Skills: Exceptional proposal-writing and manuscript-writing skills. Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities. Excellent time and project management capabilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant analytical tools. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Professional customer service skills and email/phone etiquette.
