About the role

The Tabar Laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with expertise in pluripotent stem cells and molecular biology, with a focus on developing translational models in glioma immunobiology. The ideal candidate should have a PhD or MD/PhD with experience in molecular biology and pluripotent stem cell systems, as well as experience with single cell RNA/ATAC/Multiome sequencing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate human pluripotent stem cell-based models of glioma immunobiology.
  • Conduct translational research to understand the mechanisms underlying glioma progression and immune evasion.
  • Collaborate with the Glioma Immunology subgroup, including undergraduate and graduate trainees, postdocs, and members of the Center for Stem Cell Biology and the Brain Tumor Center at Sloan Kettering Institute.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and contribute to the advancement of MSK's mission to end cancer for life.

Requirements

  • PhD or MD/PhD with experience in molecular biology and pluripotent stem cell systems.
  • Experience with single cell RNA/ATAC/Multiome sequencing.
  • Two or more scientific publications with significant involvement.

Core Skills

  • Strong background in molecular biology and pluripotent stem cell systems.
  • Bioinformatics and single cell sequencing (RNA/ATAC/Multiome).

Pay Range

$72,000 - $74,160
