Postdoctoral Research Associate - Host Microbe Interactions
The Rosch lab at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to focus on fundamental bacteriology and host-pathogen interactions of Streptococcus pneumoniae. Key areas of investigation include enhancing vaccine protection, understanding host factors driving infection susceptibility, and studying antibiotic tolerance and resistance.
Responsibilities
- Genetic manipulation of bacterial pathogens
- Molecular biology techniques
- Protein purification and characterization

Requirements
- PhD in Microbiology or related field
- Experience with bacterial pathogens and genetic manipulation
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Qualifications

- Experience in bacterial metabolism, immunology, or bioinformatics
- Specific emphasis on working with pathogenic streptococci
