About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the group of Dr. Fabio Demontis at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, USA.
Responsibilities
- Use mice and Drosophila to decipher the conserved mechanisms of muscle aging and proteostasis.
- Contribute to the understanding of how muscle-derived signals (myokines) affect proteostasis and the progression of age-related diseases in the central nervous system.
- Work independently as well as in collaborative research efforts.
- Have a strong desire to make a major contribution to the field of aging and neurobiology.
Requirements
- A Ph.D.
- Expertise in molecular, biochemical, and cell biological techniques.
- Training in Drosophila neurobiology and tauopathy is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- The candidate should have the ability to work independently as well as in collaborative research efforts.
- Strong desire to make a major contribution to the field of aging and neurobiology.
