Postdoctoral Research Associate, Cellular and Molecular Medicine (Full-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Sadayappan Laboratory within the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Arizona. The environment features a world-class group of investigators with vast expertise in cardiovascular and skeletal muscle science.

The laboratory is focused broadly on studying the regulation of sarcomeric proteins such as cardiac myosin heavy chain, including its S2 subfragment, and cardiac myosin binding protein-C (cMyBP-C), protein-protein interactions, myopeptide-based therapeutics, gene therapies, drug screening, preclinical studies, cardiac contractility and signaling in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and heart failure, with the overarching goal of uncovering new molecular mechanisms that serve as tractable therapeutic targets to improve heart health.
