About the role

Texas A&M University’s Chemistry Department is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct research in solid-state chemistry with an emphasis on magnetic materials.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts research in solid-state chemistry with an emphasis on magnetic materials.
  • Operates, utilizes, and maintains specialized laboratory research instrumentation while strictly adhering to applicable safety standards.
  • Analyzes, interprets, and disseminates research results through group meetings, scientific presentations, manuscripts, periodic reports, and grant proposals.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development by attending scientific meetings and seminars and staying current with relevant scientific literature.
  • Provides advice, assistance, and mentorship to students and other laboratory team members.

Qualifications

  • PhD in a science-related field.
  • A well-qualified candidate will possess a PhD in solid-state chemistry, inorganic chemistry, or condensed matter physics.
  • Graduate student research work experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Salary

Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience.
