Postdoctoral position in political science at Uppsala University
Programme
The Uppsala University is looking for a postdoctoral fellow whose main duties (80%) are to conduct research within the project “Living as a survivor: a study of the political, social and economic integration of tsunami survivors”, which is funded by the Swedish Research Council.
Duties and Requirements
- Conduct research tasks in accordance with the project plan that has been granted research funding from the Swedish Research Council.
- Carry out analyzes of register data.
- Design a survey.
- Analyze collected survey data.
- Co-author scientific articles.
The postdoctoral fellow will be part of a research group working on the project, which is led by researcher Lina M. Eriksson at Uppsala University. Also participating is Kåre Vernby at Stockholm University. The research group intends to have a good collaboration in the form of continuous communication, regular meetings and co-writing of research articles.
Requirements
- Very good knowledge is required in quantitative methods, especially with a focus on experiments/causal identification.
- Software for statistical analysis such as SPSS, STATA and/or R.
Additionally, the candidate must hold a PhD degree in Political Science or a related field.
