Postdoctoral Position in In Vivo Analysis of Basal Ganglia Circuit Function

About the role

The Fuccillo Lab at the University of Pennsylvania seeks postdoctoral fellows to contribute to projects exploring the control of actions by rodent cortico-basal ganglia circuits and the impact of genetic neurodevelopmental disorders on these processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in vivo recording and imaging during behavior
  • Develop and apply quantitative behavioral models
  • Perform ex vivo biophysical measurements of neural circuit function
  • Utilize molecular, genetic, and viral tools

Qualifications

  • Strong background in in vivo or in vitro physiological analyses
  • Preferred skills: in vivo extracellular recording, in vivo calcium imaging, large-scale data analysis, acute slice electrophysiology
  • PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree required
