Postdoctoral Fellowship in Environmental & Respiratory Epidemiology

About the role

The postdoctoral fellow will be working under the guidance of Dr. Jaime Hart on a study of the impacts of multiple environmental exposures (e.g., air pollution, temperature, UV, greenness) and incidence of asthma. There are also opportunities to lead analyses using advanced mixture methods and to study the effects of other spatial and contextual measures on health behaviors and chronic disease risk in several large prospective cohort studies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on the impacts of environmental exposures on asthma incidence
  • Lead analyses using advanced mixture methods
  • Study the effects of spatial and contextual measures on health behaviors and chronic disease risk in large prospective cohort studies

Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in epidemiology, environmental health, or related field
  • Programming proficiency in SAS or R
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience with the effects of environmental exposures
  • Experience with mixture methods and/or the epidemiology of asthma
