Position Summary

Conduct independent research under mentorship of a faculty research group.

Expected teaching load: up to 3 courses/year (dependent on funding), including service and major courses.

Opportunities to transition to Research Scholar or Research Scientist positions post-postdoc based on grant funding and departmental needs.

Collaboration with other departments and universities encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Research (60%): Pursue independent research objectives.

  • Teaching (40%): Teach a mix of service courses and courses for mathematics majors. Up to 3 courses/year as assigned by department chair. Coordinate courses and/or teach large classes (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Required:

    • PhD in Mathematics or a related science field by date of hire.
  • Preferred:

    • 2+ years university-level teaching experience.
    • Experience teaching service and graduate mathematics courses.
    • Experience as a course coordinator or teaching large classes (75+ students).
