About the role
The Embree Lab is recruiting a talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to contribute to our NIH-funded research program in skeletal biology, osteoarthritis, pain biology, joint function, and regenerative medicine. Our group integrates mouse genetics, large-animal models, biomaterials, single-cell and spatial sequencing, and bioinformatics to uncover the cellular and molecular mechanisms governing joint development, degeneration, pain behaviors, and functional outcomes.
Responsibilities
Conduct independent and collaborative research using mouse genetics, large-animal models, biomaterials, single-cell and spatial sequencing, and bioinformatics approaches to study joint development, degeneration, pain, and regenerative medicine.
Qualifications
- PhD, MD/PhD, DDS/PhD, DMD/PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree.
- Preferred expertise in bioengineering, developmental/stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated record of scientific productivity, including peer-reviewed publications.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and/or programming languages such as R or Python is desirable.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
