About the role

The Postdoctoral Fellow will study the genetic, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms underlying favorable and unfavorable responses to chemotherapy in mammary tumor model systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform molecular and cell biological experiments and related scientific techniques.
  • Utilize advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and bioinformatics pipelines in R-studio.
  • Analyze data with strong attention to detail; read and scientifically critique literature.
  • Independently work on research assignments and develop new projects as directed by the Principal Investigator (PI).
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain strong organizational and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with lab members.
  • Multitask and prioritize work assignments.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all work performed.
  • Present experimental results orally in lab meetings, seminars, and research conferences.
  • Complete and pass the required occupational health screening for animal handlers annually, if applicable.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or M.D.
  • Prior research experience in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, mouse models, and cancer research.

Selected candidates with contact or exposure to animals or animal tissues must complete and pass a background check, occupational health screening, and drug screening as a condition of employment.
