About the role

The Department of Medicine at Boston University, Bosmann Laboratory, is recruiting highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows to work on projects in Immunology and Host–Pathogen Interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Advance experimental and translational research programs focusing on bacterial polyphosphates in immunity at barrier organs (gut and lung)
  • Investigate host–pathogen interactions involving innate immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils and T cells
  • Analyze cytokine biology and immune signaling pathways (e.g. G-protein signaling)
  • Conduct research on pathogens such as Escherichia coli, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Legionella spp., and others
  • Utilize state-of-the-art immunological techniques including single-cell transcriptomics (scRNA-Seq, TOTAL-Seq) and phospho-/proteomics
  • Collaborate with an experienced bioinformatician for data analysis

Requirements

  • Prior experience in experimental immunology
  • Experience with mouse models of infection or inflammation
  • Knowledge of innate immunity
  • Experience with transcriptomic or proteomic approaches

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with a strong publication record and relevant research experience.

Benefits

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison.

Pay

$67,500.00 - $75,000.00 per year
