About the role
The Huang laboratory focuses on innate immune responses during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, with a particular focus on the immunometabolism of innate immune cells, including macrophages and neutrophils. The lab employs multidisciplinary approaches including immunology, microbiology, cell biology, metabolism, and genomics to address fundamental questions in host–pathogen interactions and innate immune responses in the lung.
Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments to investigate the immunometabolism of innate immune cells during M. tuberculosis infection
- Utilize small animal procedures, flow cytometry, and immune cell purification and culture techniques
- Collaborate with other members of the lab to advance research projects
- Write and publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Immunology, Microbiology, Lung Biology, Cell Biology or a related field
- Extensive experiences in small animal procedures, flow cytometry and immune cell purification and culture
