Postdoctoral Associate, Biotechnical and Clinical Laboratory Sciences
Purpose
The laboratory of Dr. Daesung Shin at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences-SUNY, Buffalo NY, is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join our team dedicated to the basic and translational research of lysosomal diseases and neuroinflammation.
About the role
The lab is in the South Campus with access to cutting-edge resources and core facilities. Potential projects encompass the characterization of novel mutant animal and cell culture models showing cell autonomous effect of lysosomal enzyme deficiency in both central and peripheral nervous systems, and elucidation of anti-inflammatory mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Characterize novel mutant animal and cell culture models showing cell autonomous effect of lysosomal enzyme deficiency in both central and peripheral nervous systems.
- Elucidate anti-inflammatory mechanisms.
Requirements
- Demonstrated outstanding performance throughout previous studies with own publications.
- Highly motivated and exceptionally organized team player with good communication skills.
Qualifications
- PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related field.
- Experience in mouse models and/or cell culture models.
- Strong background in molecular biology techniques, immunohistochemistry, and biochemistry.
