About the role
The one-year renewable position is for a Postdoc in the Department of Population Health and Pathobiology at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. The role aims to advance swine health, welfare, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Play an integral role in advancing pain management strategies for pigs on farm in the US.
- Conduct on-farm and identify pain behaviors in swine.
- Analyze data related to pain responses in swine.
Requirements
- Earned a PhD degree in a field related to veterinary medicine or animal sciences with preference for welfare experience.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues in the Animal Welfare and Behavior Lab at NCSU.
- Valid NC Driver's License required.
Qualifications
- Experience working on swine facilities.
- Experience in studies collecting data on pain response in swine.
Skills
- Must have earned a PhD degree in a field related to veterinary medicine or animal sciences with preference for welfare experience.
