About the role
This position works under the supervision of the Post Process Trim Lead and reports directly to the Production Manager. The Post Process Technician is responsible for trimming and manicuring cannabis flower.
Responsibilities
- Precisely hand-snipping undesirable fan leaves while maintaining quality assurance of each trimmed bud.
- Removing dried buds from the stems (bucking the plant).
- Sorting and grading buds into categories such as A-quality, popcorn/pre-roll, B-quality, or C-quality/lab grade.
- Operating and maintaining the department's equipment as needed.
- Bucking freshly harvested plant for fresh frozen extracts.
- Destruction of unusable plant waste products, such as stems or leaves.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all post process bins, tools, and equipment.
- Regular workstation cleaning using rubbing alcohol.
- Assisting management with training new hires.
- Wearing PPE/uniform at all times when working.
- Maintaining a continuous state of alertness to ensure the highest safety standards for fellow employees, products, and the facility.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date knowledge on state and local laws pertaining to adult-use marijuana.
- Following established LRP policies and procedures, and contributing to the development of new concepts, policies, and procedures as necessary.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).
- College degree (preferred).
- Previous Massachusetts cannabis industry experience (preferred).
- Must be 21 years of age or older and comply with all legal or company regulation requirements for working in the industry.
- Ability to work holidays outside of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
- Reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing work environment – possibility of loud machinery noises.
- Ability to perform work-related activities for up to 8 hours a day, including repetitive motions and use of hands.
- Work activities may include use of scissor tools, hands, wrists, and arms in a repetitive/continuous motion.
- May include walking or standing for extended periods, as well as stooping, bending over, and/or crouching.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Pay
$18.00/hour
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break, totaling 40 hours per week.
