Responsibilities

• Perform cultivation activities: planting, pruning, and transplanting cannabis plants.
• Coordinate waste disposal after each order per established policies and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions to ensure plant health and maximize yield.
• Participate in harvesting by trimming and processing plants following established protocols.
• Operate and maintain cultivation equipment; troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and address equipment problems.
• Follow SOPs to maintain consistency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe, compliant workspace.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain consistent, high-quality yield and a clean, organized workplace.

Qualifications

• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older (18 in NY).
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance is required.
• Reliability and meticulous organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Computer-savvy with a knack for quickly mastering new software.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work in a heavily regulated environment.
• Greenflower or Ganjier Certificate preferred.

Pay

Starting Pay Rate: $20 / hour

Schedule

The position requires a high level of scheduling flexibility and may include evening, weekend, and holiday work hours. The employee will encounter frequent interruptions and must manage time effectively.

Working Conditions

The employee works in a dispensary and/or cultivation environment and uses a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed. The role demands a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

Work environments include exposure to dirt, fertilizers, dusts, odors, fumes, temperature and humidity extremes, noise, vibrations, water, allergens, pollen, plant pathogens, volatile organic compounds, heights, indoor A/C or no A/C, and other environmental variables.

Physical Requirements

While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary for up to 80% of the time, move around, and communicate clearly. The role frequently involves lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, using ladders up to 12 feet, and manual transport equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
