Responsibilities
- Takes direction from the Post Harvest & Operations Manager
- Performs tasks related to harvesting, trimming, drying, laying, curing, and quality control
- Records and reports data related to the process to the Harvest Team Lead
- Records and reports weight of any excess product that is considered waste
- Affords assistance in cleaning and facility maintenance tasks including sweeping, ensuring a clean and organized working environment, and sanitation of equipment
- Maintains a culture of professionalism and service
- Complies with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure
- Consistently performs in a manner consistent with the goals and values of the company
- Acts as a team player
- Other duties as assigned.
Post Harvest Technician Duties
- Pays meticulous attention to detail to the quality control of all processes in harvesting
- Collaborates with team members to complete all dry takedown functions
- Hand trims, utilizes sterilized scissors or shears to trim remaining leaves from the plant to separate medical marijuana flower from medical marijuana trim
- When utilizing machine trimmers, prepares and sterilizes proper equipment, monitors plant input and output to ensure successful process
- Executes a final manicure and inspection of all harvested and trimmed medical marijuana raw material to quality standards
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
Employment Standards
- Education – High school diploma required. A bachelor's degree in Business, Botany, Horticulture, Agriculture, or related fields is preferred.
- Experience – Experience working in a large grow operation with experience hand and/or machine trimming. Familiarity with molds, mildews, and pest. Strong understanding or ability to be trained on the electronic tracking system.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Attention to detail and a quick eye
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Extended computer usage
- Comfortable being under constant video surveillance
- Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
