About the role
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Georgia seeks to fill two Postdoctoral Teaching and Research Associate positions beginning in August 2026. Each position is funded by the NSF Geometry and Topology Research and Training Group (RTG), and is anticipated to be of two years duration, with summer support, and with the possibility of renewal for a third year.
Responsibilities
- Research in the Mathematics department, including the pursuit of an original research program.
- Teaching duties are the equivalent of two courses per year.
Requirements
- A Ph.D., or equivalent foreign degree, in Mathematics or a related field is needed.
Qualifications
- Applicants should show promise of moving toward excellence in conducting significant research in an area closely related to the focus of the RTG, as well as moving toward the potential for high quality teaching in university mathematics classes.
