Post Doctoral scholar- General Internal Medicine

Responsibilities

• Supporting scientific research activities in the area of social and behavioral science such as survey research, systematic reviews, qualitative methods, and more (50%)
• Contribute to manuscript preparation, abstract submission, and presentation of research at conferences and other scientific/community venues (20%)
• Aid in the management of ongoing research projects (10%)
• Engage in capacity building activities related to patient-centered outcomes research and cancer control (5%)
• Assist in the development of grant proposals (5%)
• Perform additional activities as assigned (10%)

Requirements

• PhD in a social or behavioral science discipline (for example, psychology, health services research, public health, sociology, communication, health economics or a related field) with a demonstrated focus on health applications
• Strong quantitative or mixed methods training appropriate to patient-centered measurement or stakeholder engaged research
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a record of, or strong potential for, peer reviewed publication
• Ability to work independently while also functioning well within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team
