Post Doctoral Researcher-General Internal Medicine

About the role

The Post Doctoral Researcher will pursue independent and specialized research training and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine. The position involves collaborating with Principal Investigators (PIs) on research investigating topics related to general internal medicine, dissemination and implementation science, and/or economic evaluation. Duties also include preparing oral presentations for national and international scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars; writing and submitting manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals; seeking opportunities for external funding and supporting the development of research proposals for submission; participating in new research grant submissions; developing projects, collecting data, and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis in new research projects designed as pilot work for new grant submissions; and participating in bi-monthly research team meetings to coordinate ongoing and new research projects. Additional duties may be assigned based on the needs of ongoing and new research projects.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Experience in research methodology and statistical analysis
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for research in general internal medicine, dissemination and implementation science, and/or economic evaluation
