Job Duties

  • Design and execute experiments and contribute to manuscripts with increasingly independent experiments under PI mentorship.
  • Drive data acquisition and analysis (e.g., RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, functional assays) and co-author publications.
  • Disseminate findings through scientific publications, abstracts and presentations at regional, national, and international conferences.
  • Contribute to ongoing NIH-funded projects and develop complementary, independent lines of inquiry – this will include competing for independent fellowship funding, as opportunities arise.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent.
  • Experience with in vivo modeling, epigenetics, molecular biology, and/or protein biochemistry techniques.
  • Experience in pancreatic biology, developmental biology, gene regulation, or a related field.
  • Experience in securing research funding (e.g., fellowships, grants).
  • Experience in molecular and cellular techniques (western blotting, qPCR, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, co-immunoprecipitation, chromatin immunoprecipitation, etc.).
  • Animal handling and in vivo phenotyping experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in pancreatic biology, developmental biology, gene regulation, or a related field.
  • Experience in securing research funding (e.g., fellowships, grants).
  • Experience in molecular and cellular techniques (western blotting, qPCR, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, co-immunoprecipitation, chromatin immunoprecipitation, etc.).
