Duties and Responsibilities
We seek a Postdoctoral Research Scholar with expertise in the analysis of large monitoring datasets to understand climate impacts on invertebrates, in particular bees.
We are particularly interested in applicants with a variation of quantitative skills to analyze and visualize data, but will also consider applicants who have strong taxonomic and natural history expertise in bees and regional threats to specific bee groups to develop management briefs for climate adaptation.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, a research statement (2 pages maximum) describing their prior research and clearly identifying their quantitative and/or taxonomic skills, and the names and contact information for three professional references.
Requirements and Preferences
- A Ph.D. can be in any field relevant to research synthesis, such as but not limited to ecology, entomology, biomath, data science, statistics, conservation, or biology.
- Prior published research in peer-reviewed journals.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Desire to apply quantitative and qualitative synthesis skills to literature and datasets on climate exposures and impacts on bees.
