Post Doctoral Fellow - Environmental Engineering & Earth Sciences

About the role

The applicant will perform research on a USDA-funded project on partial desalination for salt-tolerant crops. This will include laboratory work, writing papers, corresponding with the research team, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory/greenhouse experiments to investigate the salt tolerance of various plants.
• Analyze data, share with the research team, prepare publications, and otherwise organize and disseminate the findings of the laboratory studies.
• Train and assist other postdocs, students, and faculty with aspects of the research project, including reviewing their work and helping to integrate the various aspects of the multidisciplinary project.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a field related to the funded project.
• Preferred Education: Area: Plant sciences
• Experience with laboratory/greenhouse studies similar to the funded project.
