Post Doctoral Associate - 501256
The position is funded to advance the understanding of covalent inactivator drug candidates targeting infectious fungal organisms. Newly synthesized compounds produced by the person in this position will be evaluated for efficacy against various fungal organisms.
About the role
This position requires a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent synthetic laboratory skills, experience synthesizing and characterizing drug candidate molecules, a published track record of success, the ability to work independently, and a good working knowledge of molecular modeling and docking software. The candidate must also be detail-oriented and able to maintain organized and accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate newly synthesized compounds for efficacy against various fungal organisms
- Design, test, and complete new synthesis routes to target compounds of interest
- Utilize molecular modeling and docking software to support research efforts
Requirements
