About the role

A postdoctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Wenqing Zhou.

Responsibilities

• Elucidate the cellular and molecular mechanisms that establish immune tolerance to the microbiota.
• Explore how dysregulation of these pathways contributes to diseases and disorders in the gut and beyond.
• Develop novel approaches to restore gut homeostasis and treat human diseases.

Requirements

• Hold a Ph.D. in immunology, microbiology, or a related biomedical science, obtained within the past two years.
• Strong technical proficiency in immunological methods.
• Demonstrated record of research productivity, including at least one first-author publication.
• Prior experience with flow cytometry and in vivo mouse models is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

• Highly motivated doctoral-level scientist interested in intestinal immunology and host-microbiome interactions.

Skills

• Strong technical proficiency in immunological methods.
• Demonstrated research productivity, including at least one first-author publication.
• Prior experience with flow cytometry and in vivo mouse models is advantageous but not required.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
